Linux-WARNING

This source codes won't work with the new glibc libraries shipped with some newer Linux distributions (eg SuSE). Unfortunatly the GUI-libs of the used OpenLook (xview) seem to be incompatible with the new glibc libs. As they are property of SUN microsystems we cannot do anything about it.

Note that even though the compilation will run smoothly the result will be an extremly unstable GUI-version. Workaround:

  1. Use the pre-compiled binaries with the static linked libs instead. OR
  2. Set the ld_path variable of your compiler accordingly OR
  3. find a more recent implementation of the xview libs and let us know.
